Methodology & data sources

How the audit is built, and why the score holds up.

An audit is only worth presenting if you can defend every figure in it. So Auditaar is built around a simple rule: measure what can be measured, and clearly label what is only estimated or cannot be confirmed from outside.

Auditaar was built by a team of growth marketers, after 15 years running digital marketing for businesses. It encodes what an expert eye checks and runs it at full depth on every audit. The rule it runs on: measured facts, labeled estimates, and recommendations, each shown for what it is.

Your URL is the whole intake. It is the one address every customer, search engine and AI assistant already uses, so it is all Auditaar needs to see your site the way they do.

Why Auditaar exists

The report everyone actually wants has always been the hard part.

The deliverable people want from an audit is the report they can present, and getting one has always meant either hiring an agency or settling for a checklist PDF that answers nothing. Auditaar automates the whole thing from a URL: the collection across the six areas of your presence and the market around them, the analysis, and the presentation itself.

What most tools hand you
A wall of numbers, and no way to tell a passed check from one that never ran.

A scan is a single source, and a single source cannot flag where a site contradicts itself.

What you get here
A presentable report and a working dashboard, sorted by what to fix first and what it is costing you.

Every rate is printed over the pages it measured, and every silence is named rather than hidden.

Methodology principles

Seven rules the audit will not break to make things look better.

These are the promises behind every figure in your report. They are why the report survives the meeting where someone asks where a score came from.

01

Breadth in one pass

A website does not fail one dimension at a time, so neither does the audit. Every audit covers all six areas of your own presence at once, plus the market around them, competitors and paid channels, in one pass: AI Visibility and Answer Readiness, Search Findability, Conversion and Messaging, Experience and Performance, Trust, Security and Brand, and Measurement and Compliance. You get one prioritized list instead of six that contradict each other.

02

Two independent readings

The findings that change a decision are the ones a single-source scan cannot see. So Auditaar reads one fact from two independent places: the cookie policy against the cookies that actually landed, the tag list against the requests that fired, the price in the markup against the price painted on the page. A scan that reads one source cannot disagree with itself; reading two is how an expert eye finds what is really costing you.

03

Licensed data, never scraped dashboards

Every metric comes from data providers whose licenses permit use in client reports, or from free public APIs. Auditaar renders its own charts from the raw numbers and never screenshots another tool. Every figure in your report carries its source and the date it was collected, so anyone who questions it can trace it.

04

Estimates labeled as estimates

Some figures are models, not measurements, and lab performance data is not what a real visitor lived through. Where the industry prints noise as precision, Auditaar labels the source, shows the range, and states the method. Your report's credibility is the product, so Auditaar would rather show a range than fake a decimal.

05

The limits stated, not buried

Some things cannot be measured from outside: what a competitor's own analytics say, what a page renders only for logged-in users, whether a form actually delivers. Where that is true, the report says so instead of faking a pass. Automated accessibility testing catches roughly a third of real issues, so Auditaar prints that on the slide rather than letting a clean scan imply a compliant site.

06

No access required, by design

Auditing from the outside means you can audit anyone: your own site, a competitor, a prospect you are about to pitch. No logins, no OAuth, no analytics or ad accounts, and Auditaar never claims to reach anyone's private systems. It also means there is nothing to connect and, just as importantly, nothing for you to leak.

07

A team of agents that adds evidence, never opinions

After the agentic crawl, the validations and the A-Score are set, a team of agents validates the findings. One agent per pillar adds the evidence behind each finding and a verifier re-checks the high-impact ones. The agents add evidence and suggest fixes, but they don't run the score.

What it adds up to

A score you can defend, and nothing to leak defending it.

The two things a methodology like this is supposed to buy you: a report you can stand behind in front of a client or a boss, and an audit that asks nothing of your systems to produce it.

A verdict you can trace

Every figure carries its source and its date, estimates are labeled as estimates, and where the second reading cannot be taken the finding is reported as not measured, with the reason printed, never as a pass. When someone asks where a score came from, the report already answers.

Nothing to connect, nothing to leak

Because the audit runs from a public URL, there are no credentials to hand over to run it. Auditaar processes only the account and order data needed to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. It also means you can run the exact same audit on a competitor or a prospect that you run on yourself.

The method, in practice

Built by people tired of audits nobody could defend.

Every rule in the audit exists because a real report failed a real client. The method is opinionated on purpose: a score you can defend, sourced line by line, and a plan anyone on the team can act on without a specialist to translate it.

Judge the method on your own site.
